Tips
- Be very attentive when you exchange money. Ask about if there is any commision fee. Exchange only when commision fee is ZERO otherwise you can loose money (there are cases with commision fees of 8-10% in center of Bucharest) !
- Plan your arrival in Bucharest, and who to take you from airport (trainstation). There are few scammers, who are waiting, and charge up to 10 times more from airport to Bucharest center.
- Best place to exchange money is on the 'Mosilor' Street (close to intersection with Stefan cel Mare Street). But even if you'll find the best rate, exchange only if the comission fee is ZERO %.
- Don't show too much foreign currencies because you'll atract curious eyes.
- Don't exchange too much money at one time. Exchange only small ammounts because of the fluctuation rate.
